Marcos Rojo has posted a positive message on Twitter despite being stretchered off whilst clearly in distress during the Manchester derby.
The Manchester United defender hurt himself sliding into a challenge during the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.
In a lot of pain, the defender was given oxygen and then stretchered from the pitch.
Louis van Gaal said after the game that Rojo had suffered a dislocated shoulder.
“The shoulder is out, you never know how long that will take, I have to wait until tomorrow I think but he shall not play against Crystal Palace (on Saturday) ,” he told Sky Sports.
Manchester United’s next match after Crystal Palace is not until 22 November, when they will play Arsenal at the Emirates. There will be hopes that Rojo will be fit for that match, particularly after his positive tweet late last night.
The former Sporting Lisbon player will be keen to make a swift return having only arrived at Manchester United over the summer.
